Center for the humanitarian cooperation with the Ukrainian diaspora

The Center was implemented by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in September 22, 1999. The Center’s activities are aimed at improving the work of the Ukrainian diaspora and providing it with practical assistance in the humanitarian sphere. This involves ensuring the scientific and educational needs of the Ukrainians living abroad, as well as spiritual and cultural exchange and tourist-linguistic work.

During the functioning of the Center, friendly relations were established with the Ukrainian communities of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Moldova, Bashkortostan, Russia, in particular with the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Moscow, the Ukrainians of St. Petersburg and Ukrainian communities inhabiting Europe, the USA, Canada and Australia.

The Center has printed publications which are being distributed both in Ukraine and among the Ukrainian diaspora. At the initiative of the Center, international and All-Ukrainian conferences related to diaspora issues, cultural and artistic events, festivals, contests are held.

The Center is always open for cooperation with all those who are not indifferent towards preserving national customs and traditions, promoting Ukrainian culture, bringing up the feeling of patriotism in the younger generation, and pride of their motherland.
